Fan Rentals

During the summer, Brown students and visiting students can rent fans. Fans are also available for purchase at any time for $20.

  1. What type of fan do you offer?

    2. We carry Lasko 20" Box Fans featuring a lightweight design and three whisper quiet speeds.

  2. Do I need to reserve a fan?

    3. No, we have a large number of fans in stock and will not encounter a shortage.

  3. What is the cost to rent a fan?

    4. For each fan, there is a $5 rental fee and $20 deposit.

  4. Where can I rent a fan?

    5. Fans may be rented at Wayland Arch on Sundays from 9 AM until 2 PM.

  5. How do I retrieve my initial deposit?

    6. Students can return the fan and retrieve their initial deposit anytime during BSA office hours.

    Unfortunately, deposits cannot be refunded for fans left in dormitory rooms. Brown Student Agencies does not have access to these rooms and thus cannot pickup fans.

  6. What if I am unable to return the fan or return my fan late?

    7. In the event that you are unable or unwilling to return the fan during the designated hours, you forfeit your deposit.
    If none of the available times work for you, you must contact us at least a week in advance to arrange a drop-off.
