Summer Storage
BSA provides the only official Brown-sponsored summer storage option each year with an approved vendor. BSA provides this service in conjunction with UCS and Reslife.
This year, Brown University has chosen Space Station Self Storage as the official storage company for its students because of their level of commitment to customer service, and their excellent track record of handling students’ storage needs.

Space Station Self Storage will be available on campus from May 8th to May 17th to drop off boxes and pick up students’ property on the following days/times:
- Monday - Thursday: 10 am - 6 pm
- Friday: 9am - 5pm
- Saturday: 10am - 4pm
It is recommended that you contact Space Station Self Storage as early as possible to reserve your space, and avoid the “last minute rush.” Boxes will be available at the Preferred Transfer Locations -- Main Green (Brown and George St) & Pembroke (Meeting St.) -- beginning May 8th.

Space Station Self Storage will return to the Preferred Transfer Locations at the beginning of fall semester - from August 31st to September 2nd - to return students’ property.
Special arrangements for student athletes and others who will be arriving early before the start of the Fall Semester must be made at time of rental. You do not need to confirm a specific date for delivery but you must notify Space Station of early delivery at time of rental.)
Storage Options
1) Brown Student Basic Package
The Student Basic Package, which includes 3 different options, will be covered by one Brown-issued voucher, or $60 for a non-voucher-holding Brown Student.
The period of storage covered is between the pick-up period (May 8-17, 2008) and the delivery period (August 31-September 2, 2008). They bring your FREE supplies to Brown’s Campus, you pick them up from the preferred transfer locations.

- Two small book boxes at 1.7 cubic feet each
- One large box at 4.5 cubic feet
- One roll of packing tape
- Option 1B
- One large box at 4.5 cubic feet
- One medium box at 3.2 cubic feet
- One roll of packing tape
- Option 1C
- Two medium boxes at 3.2 cubic feet each
- One small box at 1.7 cubic feet
- One roll of packing tape
Included with Options 1A, 1B and 1C are the boxes themselves, storage from 5/8/2008 to 9/2/2008, pickup from the preferred location and delivery to the preferred transfer location.
Students may also drop off and pick up items in their personal vehicles to and from Space Station Self Storage at their own convenience.
2) Box Progran
They will have boxes, tape, and other packing supplies that you can purchase at Brown’s preferred transfer locations. The prices below are a flat rate that includes pick up and delivery to and from preferred transfer locations only and storage for entire summer (May 8-Sept. 2), Maximum 10 items. Paperwork will be completed at preferred transfer locations.
- Storage from 5/8/08 to 9/2/08 is as follows:
- Small box - $20
- Medium box - $25
- Large box - $35
- X-Large box - $35
- Dorm fridge - $35
- Large plastic tub - $35
- Small desk - $40
- Small bookcase - $45
- Skis, boots & poles - $35
- Bike - $35
- Trunk - $45
- Task chair - $35
If you wish to have your items picked up/delivered to curbside at your dorm, it will cost an additional $40 for pick up and an additional $40 for delivery.
3) Individual Storage Space Rentals
The following size units, if available, can be rented at Brown University student discounted rates. If you have a voucher, you may us the $60 voucher towards the rental of a storage unit.
- 5x5 = Climate controlled space
$40 a month x 3 ˝ months - 5x10 =Climate controlled space
$70 a month x 3 ˝ months - 10x10=Climate controlled space
$95 a month x 3 ˝ months
These prices include free pick up/delivery to preferred transfer locations only.
If you wish to have your items picked up/delivered to curbside at your dorm, it will cost an additional $40 for pick up and an additional $40 for delivery.
